Francesca Annis is one of Britain's best-known actresses. Seen most recently on television in the BBC1 series "Wives and Daughters" and "Deceit" Miss Annis has also done a considerable amount of theatre work, both with the Royal Shakespeare Company and in London's West End, and appeared in a number of films.

Her most recent major film project - in which she starred with Billy Connolly and Ken Stott - was The Debt Collector, a dark thriller which screened in cinemas in the UK in June 1999 and is now available on video and DVD in the UK. Francesca also appeared in "Milk", which screened on Sky Premier in the UK in December 1999, and had a cameo role in "Onegin".
